We are an NGO (00NGO/R/1225) focussing on addressing and eliminating the causes of poverty facing underprivileged groups in Tanzania. Many young boys and girls in the Region of Katavi face gender-related violence and poverty ,which often force them to enter into prostitutions and crime to survive. Diseases, unplanned pregnancies and early marriages are constant worries in the Region which makes the Region to be among the top four in the Country with the high cases of early pregnancies, malnutrition and gender-related violence. Without access to good food, quality education and basic health care there is little opportunity to break free from these problems. This create a cycle that traps future generations. The Good Harvest Organization’s goal is to break this cycle by helping to improve the living conditions of these disadvantaged people by means of holistic, sustainable support programmes and enable them to live their lives with dignity.
