Thomson Street and Cain Avenue, east of Victoria Road, in Northcote, Victoria, Australia, are used by rat runners to avoid traffic lights on arterial routes. This results in significant traffic volume on local residential streets not intended or designed for commuter traffic. People speed and drive dangerously, putting local residents - particularly children - at risk.

Darebin City Council has put in place a no left turn rule from Victoria Road heading south into both Cain Avenue and Thomson Street, Monday to Friday 7am - 9am. This should be reflected on OSM.

Further, as this area is not intended for commuter traffic, I ask that the algorithm for OSM doesn't direct through traffic on to Cain Avenue or Thomson Street at ANY time of the day and For ALL days of the week.
