At metro station melanchthonweg (Native name melanchtonweg ), the metro switched between overhead power lines in the direction Den Hague Centraal (native name: Den Haag Centraal) and a third rail in the direction of Slinge (Native name: Slinge), this can be confirmed by the "loud bang" you usually hear in the direction Slinge, or using the aerial images to check for the yellow third rails, and the shadows of the overhead lines/masts. At the moment OpenStreetMaps does not support mapping a certain piece of rail track as both third rail & overhead power lines, so this has to be done in the future

Asbestos has been found during construction in the metro station, and the station has been closed for at least 2 and half a week. (Starting 2018-10-23)

Metro E and D no longer pass this location, and advised is to take the tram
