I discovered OpenStreetMaps when I got an Android tablet and started looking for mapping apps other than Google’s. I love being able to edit the maps! Osmand needs some UI love, though.

I currently live in Beijing, and in the past have done a fair amount of writing and research into Beijing’s geography and building history. Several years ago I made a set of walking tours for Beijing, and attempted to make a useful website to go with it – had I known about OpenStreetMaps back then it would have been perfect.
