This changeset reverts the addition of a new “America” continent boundary. While the comment noted that “America consists of North America and South America,” this kind of feature is not appropriate for OpenStreetMap:

* A continent is not a `type=boundary`. Boundaries in OSM are for things like administrative areas or protected regions, and they require polygons, not points.
* Points cannot form a valid boundary relation.
* It is also inappropriate to tag this as `place=continent` — that tag is reserved for established continent features already agreed upon in OSM.
* Entire continents are not mapped as polygon boundaries in OSM — this is outside the project’s scope and not verifiable on the ground.
