The villages on this road from here North look burnt out or abandoned on the Bing imagery. On other imagery they do not yet exist. Is seems this section of Bing imagery was taken at a different time than the majority of this region. Perhaps at some time due to the civil war these villages were destroyed. It is hard to tell if the burnt out imagery is newer or older than the surrounding imagery.

These two places look populated in the Esri imagery but not the Mapbox. And they don't look like architecture typical of rural Sudan. Are these IDP camps?

Is there actually an airstrip here? I cannot find its location on any aerial imagery or find mention of it online.

Is this the real location of Liang?

Is this the proper spelling of the village? Based on local pronunciation, I would transcribe it as "Bun Tolgin."

Some views show a village here called "Enkitang." Locals I have asked only know this settlement as Bun Tolgin.
