The Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the County of Lancashire
PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY (DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION) (NO.6) ORDER 2010

On the 05 November 2025 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by adding a Footpath from a point on Slyne Road A6, between 59 and 57 Slyne Road (former Melbourne Social Club) at grid reference SD 4767 6331 to pathway leading south to exit onto Vale Road at grid reference SD 4763 6330.

It appears from the description that this new footpath goes around the back of Redeemed Christian Church of God and on the alley behind Vale Road / Slyne Road.

Need to check in-person next time I'm there (or anyone else in the area)
