A couple of sources (e.g. http://www.ridgeroute.com/news.php) suggest that the Ridge Route is open to walkers and cyclists, though not to cars - "You are allowed to walk, hike, or bicycle in, just no motorized vehicles". Is this the case? If so, I guess it would be good to add "bicycle=yes" etc. to amend the current "access=no".

cycleways on winnetka are asphalt. sidewalks are concrete. might have accidentally put cycleways as asphalt south of here

Are bicycles allowed at this and similar crossings? I would assume so (how else would someone reach the bike path from the street?) There should be bicycle access tags to make it clear, and to prevent routers that assume that bicycles are prohibited from footways by default from giving nonsensical routes.
