Hi @Русский Человек,

you changed the name of relation/65335. On changeset/147165663 you argued that "Transnistria" is an offensive name. I therefore understand the change of these many tags, but now there are tag of the name and alternative name, which are the same, e.g. "name:de=Pridnestrowien" and "alt_name:de=Pridnestrowien". So it would be better to switch the names, like "name:de=Transnistrien" and "alt_name:de=Pridnestrowien" to "name:de=Pridnestrowien" and "alt_name:de=Transnistrien". This would be better, because it will not remove the information, but sets the own official one in the first place.

In many countries and languages a form of "Transnistria" de facto exists and is the common default.

Best regards,
Chriss

Hi @EttoreV_littoria,

what is the source of this change? According to my investigations there is still an open border dispute between France and Italy? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont_Blanc#Ownership_of_the_summit.

Chriss

What do you mean?

Hi @SomeoneElse,

(a) no I only checked, if all wikipedia pages are linked to the same wikidata object. So it might be possible that the article have different information, but the good links between the different wikipedia articles might it be easy to switch to your language. (b) It is difficult to choose a "neutral" article here. However, "az" is Azerbaijani, which is the official language here.

My intention was to harmonize the tags and as you can see in wikipedia=* and https://taginfo.osm.org/search?q=wikipedia the most common usage is to use only one wikipedia tag along with wikidata.

Best regards,
Chriss

Hi @naoliv,

this question is irrelevant. No information or any information is relevant. If it is a real information and it is relevant for anyone there is a place for it in OpenStreetMap.

Subareas are an established procedure. (see osm.wiki/Relation:boundary#Relation_members)

Hi Andy,

you're right. On this time I only used "investigation" to say it was based on some investigation by myself. I used several sources for this, so I didn't just take the data from a single source.

Please check changeset/141885361 (German) for further information.

Best regards,
Chriss

Hi @woodpeck,

I have obtained the information from a research in which I consulted various sources. Today I add a list of sources, which I used, in the changeset tags.

Best regards,
Chriss

Hallo Jan,

Chriss

Hi Ilya,

it is possible that my changes were not exact. You're free to change it if you have better information.

You're right, but at this point of time there was no tag natural=peninsula, this was added later. The tag place (place=*) has not the implicit tag "area=yes".

Please have a look at changeset/151368582

Why did you remove the peninsula Barry Island (relation/9258632)?

The changeset description is not very informative and there was no source added.

Hi @trial,

thanks for the clarification and fix.
This is one of the changesets, which follows my principle "make many things better, not a few perfect".

Greetings,
Chriss
