Charles Reed Cagle was born and raised in Clarksville, Texas in 1962. Mr. Reed Cagle has been married to his wife, Donna, for about 30 years. From 1999 until 2017, they lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with their son, before relocating to Plano, Texas, in 2018. Charles Reed Cagle has been involved in several sectors of the energy industry over the past 35 years.

Mr. Reed Cagle began his career in 1986 as an associate with Kinlaw Oil Corporation. In 1996, he relocated to Dallas, Texas, to help in the establishment of a small independent energy firm. Mr. Cagle started Heartland Energy, Inc. in 1997 and served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He solicited the assistance of operators, drilling contractors, geophysicists, engineers, service organizations, and a diverse variety of energy industry skills, with direction from joint venture partners. In 2006, Charles Reed Cagle joined the drilling service business, financing and building a 2000 horsepower drilling rig capable of drilling to a depth of 20,000 feet.

Charles Reed Cagle started his mining career in 2011 in the United States and South America. He acquired a mining concession in Oregon that resulted in the discovery of around 89,000 ounces of gold. Charles Reed Cagle was responsible for funding and managing a copper and gold processing plant in Copiapo, Chile. He devised a patented process for eliminating and neutralizing dangerous chemicals from liquids while recovering precious metals as a consequence of his mining expertise. This technology is being used in Copiapo and has potential applications in the global mining sector.

After returning to Texas, Charles Reed Cagle began counseling several small independent oil enterprises, utilizing his years of experience to streamline operations and steer customers toward lower-risk horizontal possibilities in Colorado and Texas. In addition to his oil and gas business, he consults with a large commercial landscaping company in East and Central Texas.

Reed enjoys spending his free time fishing, hunting, cycling, and hiking.

He went out golfing with his son.
