The suburb of Penrose in the Wollongong Local Government Area has been absorbed by the suburb of Avondale. The suburb amendment was officially assigned by NSW Government Gazette No 86 of 2 October 2015. To remove the duplification of suburb name with Wingecarribee Local Government Area.
