Point taken. Sorry. I will no longer overlap greens and fairways in OSM. The OSM wiki article was helpful and so were forum answers in my game designer. Thanks.

Greens in OSM are "dominant" over fairways. To accurately represent the transition from fairway to green the splining of the fairway must go under the "dominant" green, in most cases for par 4's and par 5's. Doing it this way means the mown fairway comes right up to the fringe of the green so that balls, if hit short, can still roll up onto the green. If the fairway is kept short of the green than a patch of rough will be left between the end of the fairway and the green, which does not represent reality. Besides trying to represent reality I am also doing this in order to accurately transfer the course data into the golf course game designer I am using to recreate the course in the virtual world so that it can be played in the game by anyone who owns the game. I have played this course for many decades but can no longer play the real game, so recreating it in the game enables me to play it on my computer. What harm is being done by overlapping the green and fairway in OSM? How are you the judge and jury here? Do you really think anyone cares if there is a slight overlap of green and fairway, other then you? Please explain. I've done this same editing on other courses that I've played and had no complaints, so what gives?

Yes Glassman it is, but after going to all of the trouble of outlining all of the course features so I could upload them into the game's course designer, I just hate to be involved in it's final demise. If nobody else deletes them I will eventually do it. I had lots of fun rounds of golf playing this course over the years and I hate to see it go.
