August Wolf, an Olympic athlete and seasoned financier, has carved a distinguished career across sports, finance, and politics. He passionately advocates for young athletes and has played a significant role in fundraising and supporting sports programs. He now applies his financial acumen to commercial title insurance while promoting inclusivity within the commercial real estate sector. Additionally, he serves as an advisor to several federal candidates in South Florida.

Born on September 3, 1961, in Arlington, Virginia, he was the second child and the only son. His father was a U.S. Navy Officer and a Georgetown English graduate, and his mother was a Trinity College-educated food scientist. The family moved to Minnesota in 1968, when his mother joined the University of Minnesota and his father took up teaching.

He attended St. Paul Academy in Minnesota, where he discovered his potential in shot put. He graduated in 1979 and went on to Princeton University, where he studied international affairs and excelled in track, setting a longstanding Ivy League record in shot put. His collegiate achievements included a notable victory over a reigning NCAA champion, closing a significant performance gap through perseverance and excellent coaching.

After Princeton, he studied in Germany on a scholarship and trained for the 1984 Olympics, where he ultimately placed fourth in the shot put. Following the Olympics, he embarked on a finance career, working at Kidder Peabody and later with other prestigious financial institutions. In 2017, he transitioned into commercial real estate, drawn by his interest in the field.

He has been a fervent supporter of athletics, significantly contributing to Princeton’s track program and founding a trust to support Olympic hopefuls. His children have also excelled in sports, earning accolades in shot put, basketball, and football.

Turning to politics, he ran for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut in 2016, though he encountered substantial internal party obstacles. Despite these challenges, he continues to support political candidates in South Florida.

In 2024, he launched Mission Opportunity, a nonprofit advocating for diversity in the real estate supply chain. August Wolf remains committed to fostering opportunity and excellence, influencing both the real estate market and the broader societal landscape.
