Anthony Pappas, a Norwich University graduate, originally from Durango, CO, embarked on his academic and professional journey with a strong passion for political science and international relations. His commitment to learning and making impactful contributions to policy discussions was evident early in his career.
He began his undergraduate studies at Norwich University in 2015, where he joined as a cadet with aspirations of serving his country. Choosing political science as his major, he quickly immersed himself in global politics and security complexities, showing a keen interest in understanding and solving international issues.
In 2017, his academic pursuits led him to Berlin, Germany, where he participated in a study abroad program. This experience significantly broadened his understanding of international affairs, providing him with firsthand exposure to the political dynamics of Europe. The program shaped his perspectives on global diplomacy and international cooperation.
The following year, he continued to expand his international exposure by conducting field research in Singapore. During this time, he engaged with top security and international relations professionals, gaining invaluable insights and experiences that further defined his career path. His participation in the 17th Asia Security Summit was a highlight of this period, offering him a deeper look into the strategic considerations of global security.
During this time, Anthony Pappas’s academic achievements included collaborating on a significant publication, “China’s Grand Strategy: Weaving a New Silk Road to Global Primacy.” This work allowed him to contribute to essential discussions on China’s international strategies and their implications for global politics, showcasing his growing expertise and commitment to his field.
