Why did you remove Rockall from the admin relation? Rockall is allegedly administratively part of the Western Isles according to Wikipedia... Do you have a more authoritative source?

Im trying to remove the eez off rockall as it is an unrecognized eez
UK has agreed that "Rocks which cannot sustain human habitation or economic life of their own shall have no exclusive economic zone or continental shelf". -

surely rockall does not have an eez of its own, but it is within the uk's eez. are you not talking about the territorial claim and dispute with ireland? The EEZ limit is represented separately in OSM, and I don't think it is correct to remove Rockall from the UK's administrative jurisdiction, whatever the consequences of UNCLOS.
If you would like to treat Rockall as a disputed territory, we have a process for that which needs to be followed. -

As this change could be regarded as controversial (as it involves national boundaries) could I ask that you raise it in a discussion forum such as the talk-gb mailing list?

I've put the question out there on the mailing list. Please join in.

Hi Colin
Apologies if i going about this the wrong way.Can i just email talk-gb@openstreetmap.org. to reply?
The reason for this change is that not that its disputed by Ireland but rather its not recognized by any other country.I think it looks very out of place when you zoom out of the map.(to about where you can see Ireland UK and bit of Norway.)
it implies there is an island there.
It is nothing but a rock and is widely considered to be international watersThe UK are the only ones who put under a particularly admin zone but the EEZ does not exist.
"The Government [Irish] therefore submitted the national claim for this area at the end of March 2009, as did the UK. The Faroe Islands made its submission at the end of last year[2010]. Iceland has not yet made a submission.
Happy to discuss further in the mailing list

Following the discussion in the mailing list I have made Rockall part of the UK again.
