Mine does? I click "Edit", click to add a road, then click "View" at the top, and it asks me to confirm. What is this "Map" link, and what browser?

Can you find the user's homepage? Ie in the form /user/evolvedlight?

What details do you have of the user?

My work has gone down the tubes!!

That looks like he's traced off badly aligned Google maps (completely illegally).

Talk to the data working group (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Data_working_group) and they should place a block on him and talk about it.

Resignation in protest

And when you say delete all your GPX edits, you mean delete a massive river?

That's incredibly childish. Vandalism, at the very least.

Have you read the information there? The maps are already OSM maps

I don't think the page has the correct title, but at least the information is out there!

Hey

Sorry for my delay in responding.

My name is Stephen Brown and I'm responsible for a good number of the building outlines. I did this from published pdf maps that the university produces. I have permission to do this from the University and they also have some aerial imagery that they have given me permission to use freely. However, the aerial imagery is not top-down enough for any serious tracing, and more for reference.

I'll go and write up the agreements we have now in the wiki.

:/

opensatnav.org is aiming to do similar. It's not as fully functional yet but supports GPS track recording, waypoints, etc, with direct access to OSM

OSM and commercial opportunities

Its because when their map is complete they want to be able to sell it on to other companies, and sell other stuff too.

So now I'm looking for new satnav software...

Hey

Have a look at OpenSatNav. Obviously, not quite up to the AndNav2 level yet - but some bits are pretty good.
