I'm originally from Liverpool, and currently working as a Unix sysadmin for a science department of the University of Oxford.

I have a Garmin etrex GPS and a Wintec G-Rays 2 track logger, and mostly use Merkaartor for editing (sometimes Potlatch for simple edits or modifying relations).

I am a keen walker, and my main contributions so far have been mapping public footpaths and bridleways, as well as adding the same to the route relations for the various UK National Trails and other named long-distance walking routes.

As an active member of the Oxford branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) I am also interested in mapping pubs, and I have started using OSM maps as part of the Oxford CAMRA website.

My parents live in Halebank (lat 53.35, long -2.78), nr Widnes, and I do some mapping around there too.
