What tagging would you suggest?
man_made=filtration_bed
Checking the wiki, it currently seems rather quiet on the matter. The US NHD has used landuse=reservoir for filtration beds according to https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/National_Hydrography_Dataset#Mapping_2:_Proposed_Tags_for_all_NHD_keys but I wouldn't hold up the NHD import as an example of perfect mapping having at one point tried to clean up some of the mess that is in GA. Most of the 64 man_made=filtration_bed are in this one area: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/52.52736/-1.75194&layers=N (and they've had landuse=basin added which makes them render).
Reservoir tags seem to be gone now so closing note https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/95614216
