Unresolved note #204583
Description
The status of the roads in the whole Quintain Wembley Park area needs establishing. Lakeside Way is definitely private. I suspect most of the others are, including Wembley Park Boulevard. It is possible that even Exhibition Way, to the North of the civic centre is private.
One consequence of this is that it is difficult to determine the bicycle access status. For example, there are bicycle stands in the middle of Wembley Park Boulevard, but nothing to confirm that bicycles are allowed on the boulevard. If this were adopted, the assumption would have to be they were not, but if this is private, it is probably just under signed.

On one specific point, I believe bicycles are allowed on Wembley Park Boulevard based on signage eg. at the junctions of Engineers Way and Lakeside Way.
I'll have to have another look, but the specific issues is the par to Wembley Park Boulevard that is pedestrian only. Cyclists regularly use that. I'm not sure the vehicle/pedestrian boundary is right at the moment, but to the extent it is, a sign on Lakeside Way doesn't tell you about the status of the pedestrianised part.
On the public/private aspect, this is an area where it might be nice to be able to use the Brent databases, but again they can't be used, so it is best not to look at them. (They have a list of streets with their adoption status.)
I had a look. The boundary between the pedestrianised area and the one with vehicles allowed is wrong. It is only just short of the Lakeside Way junction. At that point there is a row of bollards with no indication of what allowed to pass them during normal hours.
However, there is now an indication that cycling is being permitted on this, apparently privatised public space, in that there are Cyclist Dismount signs on either side of the where it goes under the Royal Route Bridge.
The pedestrianised area on the South side of South Way has what look like Brent, rather than shopping mall company signs, which say Pedestrian Zone and has the no cars or motorcycles symbol. I would interpret that as no cycles even though the cycle status is not given.
I'll try and reflect update information in the next day or so, although there is still the question of what the access status is. My guess is that it might best be described as permissive, as I don't think it is a public footpath, or bridleway.
This was cleared without fixing the boundary of the vehicular part. I'm afraid I never got round to doing this myself, and I think I've mislaid my note of the exact boundary, but there is no reason to believe that the situation on the ground has changed to fit the map.
Also, please give a reason or reference to a changeset when resolving a note.
