Resolved note #198463
Description
The west & north roads around Charlotte Square are tagged as tertiary though the junction at North Charlotte Street is only open to buses, taxis and bicycles (buses/taxis can only turn left). Tertiary is for "busy, unclassified through roads" which this is not. Perhaps 'unclassified' is a better definition - "lesser importance than tertiary". Also not sure how this fits with the new tagging of Shandwick/Princes Street which now look more like tertiary roads to me ?
The turn restriction on the junction with NCS also needs to be corrected.
Can any road experts verify my understanding and/or update ?

Agree this needs a review. I have created at wiki page at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Edinburgh/CityCentreRoads to try and achieve a consensus locally, then we can update the map
great idea thanks - will add some comments
The specific issue for these streets has now been resolved by somebody else. All looks fine.
