No, it's more complicated than that. It's a while since I've been here, but the bridleway is next to the cycleway: the bridleway has a softer surface for horses and the cycleway has more solid surface for pedestrians and cyclists. It's not always clear exactly which, if either, the railway would have followed.
2020-04-12 I checked today the section from the Grand Union Canal to the east of here, up to this point in the west. The combined cycle and foot path seems to follow the old railway line (even, gradual gradient, no sharp turns, an old platform, the odd gradient marker). The bridleway runs parallel, but anything from 2 to 30 metres away. This section is correct, as mapped.
