have you tries Mapbox satellite?
Do you know Jeff's map at http://www.algonquinmap.com/index.html
It's very detailed, and probably the best and most up-to-date map of the park. Unfortunately it has a CC-by-nc license, but maybe Jeff would make an exception for OSM?
I am aware of Jeff's map. I don't know what his data sources are for stuff so I have no idea if we could use it even with his permission.
I did look at Mapbox satellite and it does have good coverage of the area. I will be using this to map the area. Thanks!
you can also try Strava side. great for mapping trails.

This portage seems to just follow the road most of the way. Should we map it as a separate footway?
your call
Mapped it along the main road.
