There are probably unit numbers, but not displayed publicly, and the business proprietor I talked to had no idea other than the house number.

Thanks for the suggestion! I know this sounds unusual, but basically the only rule OSM has is that we can't look things up in copyrighted sources (Yelp, Google, etc). By collecting the data ourselves, OSM can provide the data under different legal terms. So we still need to gather this ourselves despite how easy it is to look it up online. Glad to have the interest, if there's a note near you, please continue to try to resolve them. Thanks again!
