why in particular is a ground survey needed? Out of date satellite imagery? Recent construction? Something else?
lack of good imagery. Even the lower BC imagery wasn't a help. This is a reminder to take my gps unit to Point Roberts next time I head to up to Vancouver. If you are in a position to gather gps traces that would be great.
Thanks for the additional info.
Unfortunately I pretty much never get to Point Roberts, so am unlikely to be able to provide any gps traces. That said, if I ever end up in Tswwassen, and have a couple hours to kill I'll try to remember to check if this note is still active.
Last time I was in Tsawwassen I discovered how much BC Ferries has increased fares. Wow! I'm going to try to get there this summer sometime, Pt Roberts, not the islands
Also, if one of you is into this and has an Android phone, the Mozilla Location Service doesn't have very good coverage of Point Roberts yet: https://location.services.mozilla.com/map#14/48.9878/-123.0604
I ran the Stumbler app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.mozstumbler) last time I was there but I didn't get to drive through all of the streets.
The roads seem to match bing imagery, which is reasonable. Is this still an issue?
I agree that this area is map to match Bing. Closing note.
