The East Busway is not a guided busway. It does not have tracks.

> Do not use this on normal paved roadways that are designated for buses only. One correct tagging for those is highway=service, access=no, bus=designated.

Can we get a "busway" option? It's silly to mark this busway as a service road. It has a fixed route service running exclusively on it, the P1 east busway, which has frequent service matching that of the light rail.

The same is true for many other places, e.g. LA Metro G (orange) Line. It should be shown similar to light rail.

I completely agree with your rationale. I've actually started drafting a proposal page for this: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/BRT

I was thinking that not only should grade-separated busways (such as the East Busway) be highlighted as prominently as light rail lines, but prominent bus stations (such as Atwood Station and East Liberty stations) should be as well.

This is my first time writing a feature proposal, and there is a lot that I would need to get right before submitting it. If you would like to help me, check out the guidelines for writing then: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposal_process

I've had a lot of ideas about what I would actually write, but as I started to sit down and write, I forgot most of those ideas. I do know that there is a lot of nuance that goes into deciding exactly what tags a feature should use. Unfortunately, I don't quite understand this nuance.

Anyway, I think we can make a good case for a set of BRT-related tags.

I'm new to this too. If I can figure it out I'm happy to help.
