computing a single way from a multipolygon is easy; the reverse almost impossible: you loose information on the different type of shore segments of the lake.. single way makes sense, if the shore line is uniform over whole length (e.g. only grass around)

However, none of the way segments you have composed the lake from contains any additional tagging. The characteristic of the adjacent areas are described by their own landuse etc tags. Thus your MP does not provide additional information.
