Did you happen to notice whether there are two Nationwide ATMs at http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3563651010 or just 1, and whether it's actually still open? The branch behind has shut.

I was there two months ago (the day before the changeset of mine).
The two units between Albion Street and The Co-operative Bank were separate at that time. The end one was open as a Nationwide and had two cash machines (many city centre banks do). The branch also looked quite new (they've been refurbishing branches as of late). The other unit looked closed and had a sign explaining that that unit had closed but an alternative Nationwide was close by - next door.
The Nationwide did merge with the Derbyshire building society back around 2009 and so had two branches - which might well have been these two units next door to each other - one of which was the old 'Derbyshire' branch and one which has always been a Nationwide.
I'd really doubt that they would close all of their city centre outlets. Ideally this wants a survey to check - but I'd guess that the end unit is still there.

Obviously if you've seen that it is closed more recently than I was there, then your knowledge betters mine.

Also there is a nationwide marked here:

I have no idea if this remains. So the unit next to the co-op is the old derbyshire branch. Namesigns changed to Nationwide in 2014.
http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Nationwide-announces-plan-close-rebrand-remaining/story-20833775-detail/story.htmlThis is the outlet that I saw had closed.
They were also reported as considering opening a new Nationwide branch on the corner of East/Albion Streets. They did do this - that's what I added to OSM two months ago but which has now been marked as closed.

The bit next to the Co-Op didn't look like a separate branch and did have a "this branch has closed" sign on it. It's possible that the branch next door was still Nationwide and still open (though it didn't say on the sign!). From the picture, it might not have been obvious from East Street (where I was) - probably needs a note adding.

I'll check. From memory the old derbyshire changed to a nationwide (i think)(they bought them out years ago) and is next door to the new nationwide on the corner (the old HMV). I imagine there was a crossover of a couple of weeks where both could have been open.

Checked this today. The corner building is indeed Nationwide - the one next door (the old nationwide/derbyshire is now vacant) And there are infact 3 cash machines for the nationwide branch. 2 on East street and 1 around the corner on Albion street.
