I’m not sure if I’m doing this right…I wanted to make sure my business address was listed properly on the maps.

Becker Construction 241 Clear Spring Rd Annville, PA 17003 (717) 450-7824

Location: Clear Spring, North Annville Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, 17003, United States

Your address is searchable, but not your business name.

The best way to fix this is editing the map yourself. Go to the location, draw the buildings (at least your one, but go ahead and draw the whole street :) ), add and address (housenumber and street), and final add the business type and name.

If you gave it a try and still feel it’s too daunting, add a Note at your busines’s location and wait for somebody to do the edit.

If you got this far … you can do it yourself. And that way be very confident of the result!

You can also map firms you use/support too .. that way all the good guys get more business… Personally I map things I use/like.

I know where Lebanon the country is .. but I have no idea where Lebanon County is. But you will be able to find it .. and probably where your firm should be. There are many different ways of editing the map .. most beginners used ID .. a web based method. If you are most serious then you want JOSM .. a down loadable editor. Login https://www.openstreetmap.org/login? Get to ‘your’ place and then edit using ID ID instructions http://learnosm.org/en/beginner/id-editor/

You can simply place a single point (called a ‘node’) at your place (a building can also be drawn as an area .. called a ‘closed way’).. then add tags to what you have drawn (descriptions) you want tags (as a minimum) website= name=Becker Construction phone= shop=hardware building=yes (there are others too IIRC opening_hours= , contact_email= addr_street= addr_housenumber= etc etc).

Thanks for the comments everyone I appreciate it. I’ll give it a go based on what you’ve told me. I have a number of different business locations dotted around PA and wanted to make sure they all show up here like they do in Google Maps.
