Good point about the spilling over the top. I agree that is what defines it. In this case it can spill over if too much inflow but, idk, line ball.

I looked closely at this when I labeled it a weir. Have you looked from below? The Lilly pond water level is maintained by an overflow pipe AND spill-over the weir if too full. Perhaps I should have drawn a separate bridge over the weir?
