From 1996 to 2005, Michael E. Kirst was the Director of International and Government Affairs at Westinghouse Electric Company in Washington, DC. Previously, he worked as the Director of the Economic Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels, Belgium, representing the Atlantic Alliance and advising parliamentary members of NATO nations as well as the then-aspiring newly independent members of Central and Eastern Europe on economic reform programs.
