Mazen Mokhtar is a distinguished CEO, adeptly steering IT companies and humanitarian nonprofits over a dynamic 28-year career. He heads Baitulmaal, a top-tier global humanitarian relief organization, which he joined after serving as the Executive Director of the Muslim American Society (MAS), a leading youth and development organization in the American Muslim community.

Mazen’s career also features a robust entrepreneurial track in the IT sector. At Baitulmaal, based in Irving, Texas, he has been pivotal in setting strategic goals since 2018, managing humanitarian efforts in over 23 countries, and leading U.S. operations. His role extends to financial management, ensuring the organization meets its fiscal and operational objectives annually. He also facilitates key alliances, notably co-founding the American Humanitarian Forum in 2019.

From 2013 to 2018, Mazen led MAS, overseeing its extensive network and programs designed to foster community engagement and educational outreach across over 40 chapters nationwide. His prior contributions to West Point’s “Winning the Peace” program underscore his commitment to integrating cultural and religious understanding in military training.

A frequent lecturer, Mazen shares insights on youth, Islamic, and interfaith issues at renowned institutions, including Princeton and NYU, reflecting his status as a thought leader.

Before his nonprofit ventures, Mazen built a successful IT consulting firm, MindCraft, after a commendable career in IT and studies at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned his Computer Science and Engineering degree in 1989. He has authored significant academic works, including innovative solutions to the Traveling Salesman Problem, showcasing his problem-solving prowess.

Living in Irving, Texas, with his family, Mazen Mokhtar balances a rich personal life with professional endeavors. He continues his lifelong commitment to community service and philanthropy. His interests include history, reading, and chess, which enrich his professional and community activities.
