Ken Termini, recognized for his significant contributions to the pharmaceutical industry and success as a high school basketball coach, now dedicates his expertise to mentoring college student leaders to excel in entry-level job interviews.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Penn State University in 1987, Ken began his career at Revlon. His ambition quickly led him to Forest Pharmaceuticals, where, over 27 years, he excelled through various sales and management roles. His prowess in navigating the complex healthcare landscape earned him all three of the company’s significant sales awards: Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year.

Ken’s career reached new heights in 2002 when he was promoted to head the State Government Affairs Department at Forest Pharmaceuticals. This role was a stepping stone to further success, leading to his direction of Forest Laboratories’ Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs department amid the critical period of the Affordable Care Act’s implementation. He concluded his pharmaceutical tenure as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan), focusing on infectious disease and hospital-based IV antibiotics.

From a young age, Ken was strategically minded about his life plan. Following advice from a mentor at age 19, he structured his life into three phases: learning, earning and providing, and enjoying retirement. His disciplined approach to life planning and financial management enabled him to retire at 50. He credits his success to having the right team of advisors and maintaining long-term discipline in financial, estate, and tax planning.

Beyond his professional career, Ken has been a significant player in real estate, particularly in vacation rental property development. His projects included building large oceanfront houses and a 36-unit oceanfront condominium in the Outer Banks. Although he has divested most of his real estate investments, he continues to share his extensive knowledge in property management within the Outer Banks non-resident property owner (NRPO) group.

Ken’s passion for basketball has also been a substantial part of his life. Since 1990, he has coached basketball, only briefly stepping away from the sport. His coaching career at Palisades High School and later at Palmerton High School within the Colonial League has been marked by numerous successes, including leading the Palmerton Blue Bombers to a District 11 Class 3A title in 2019. His impact on the sport led to the founding of the Colonial League Boys Basketball Coaches Association, aimed at recognizing talented players.

Additionally, Ken is a passionate open-water swimmer, participating in events such as the New York City SEAL Swim, a challenging 3.5-mile fundraiser for the Navy SEAL Foundation. He also enjoys swimming along the New Jersey Shore and other regional locations, embracing the physical challenges and the thrill of the sport into his 60s.

Currently, he is spearheading Career Launch Consulting (CLC), a firm he created to address a gap in interviewing skills among college students. After noticing that many students, despite having intense leadership experiences, needed more effective interview techniques, he began offering specialized group and one-on-one mentoring sessions. He plans to expand CLC’s offerings to include comprehensive content that organizations can integrate into their annual leadership training programs, collaborating with groups like Lambda Chi Alpha to equip students for professional success.

Through his diverse career and active community involvement, Ken Termini exemplifies a commitment to leadership, mentorship, and the ongoing development of potential in others.
