Jakob Wissel was born in Ocala, Florida on August 22, 1996. Jakob Wissel was born parents Ditmar and Linda Wissel, both of whom were German immigrants. Jakob Wissel has three half-brothers, all of whom have had a profound influence on him. From pre-school until eighth grade, Jakob Wissel attended Blessed Trinity Catholic School. Jakob Wissel was a member of flag football, basketball, track, and the Boy Scouts, where he earned the Eagle Scout title in 2012. Jakob Wissel attended First United Methodist Church as a child, where he sang in the chorus and earned the Head Chorister’s Medal, in addition to acting as an acolyte and crucifer. Jakob Wissel traveled to Peru and Costa Rica on mission trips with the church. Jakob Wissel volunteered with the Salvation Army, Interfaith Community Services, and Blessed Trinity Elder Care. Jakob Wissel attended Trinity Catholic High School and participated in football, basketball, and track until requiring two knee surgeries. After being unable to participate in sports owing to knee problems, Jakob Wissel shifted his concentration to music, which he discovered to be an effective stress reliever. Jakob Wissel had a 4.2 weighted GPA and outstanding SAT and ACT scores in high school. Jakob Wissel chose to attend the University of South Florida in Tampa and joined a fraternity. Throughout the holidays, Jakob Wissel participated in charitable activities and organized food and toy drives. Jakob Wissel worked as a salesperson throughout college prior to attending law school. Jakob Wissel earned a 52 percent scholarship to law school after attaining an LSAT score in the 80th percentile. Jakob Wissel completed his first year of law school with honors. Jakob Wissel relocated to Ocala in order to aid his old father in caring for his mother, who had undergone numerous surgery.
