Gonzalo Lopez Jordan is a prominent leader in private equity and investment management. While at UWCAD, he earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma and engaged with students from over 80 countries, which broadened his worldview. After completing his studies in Italy, Gonzalo took a gap year in Dublin, Ireland, where he worked as a Social Assistant technician, assisting disadvantaged youths. He later returned to Argentina to work in the tourism industry at Las Leñas ski resort.
Gonzalo pursued higher education in law at the Universita degli Studi di Pisa in Italy, focusing on international legal cooperation between Europe and Latin America, and earned a Juris Doctorate. He further enhanced his education through an Erasmus scholarship at the Universidad de Oviedo in Spain, where he achieved a Spanish JD and an MBA. His professional life in law and finance commenced with his admission to the Oviedo Bar Association in January 1995.
His career in banking began at Banco Santander in Miami, Florida, where he was instrumental in developing the bank’s Private Banking portfolio and served as Vice President of International Private Banking. He later moved to Citigroup as First Vice President and Senior Investment Manager Specialist, focusing on asset management and personalized financial solutions.
With a vision for entrepreneurship, Gonzalo co-founded Patagonia Financial Holdings, a private equity firm in Miami. Over the past 15 years, he has served as CEO and now holds the position of Chairman and Strategic Advisor. His firm is known for managing various significant projects, including luxury real estate developments and renewable energy initiatives.
