OK so .gpx is not a proprietary GARMIN format, but an Open Standard GPS Format, but nether the less, is THE GPS Format used by GARMIN devices (that seem to be the most 'popular' GPS logger device that most tend to use?).

It is also the GPS Format that http://www.waypoints.ph/index.html accept GPS Route contributions in to become an active Member.
