Founded in 1987 as East-West Property Development (Pvt) Ltd, Bashundhara Group has become a major business conglomerate in Bangladesh. This media arm now manages several significant media outlets, including “Kaler Kantho,” “Bangladesh Pratidin,” “Daily Sun,” and the online news portal “banglanews24.com.” It also launched News24, a leading news channel; T Sports, Bangladesh’s first dedicated sports channel; and Radio Capital, an FM station with a diverse range of programming.

Further diversifying its portfolio, Bashundhara Group has made substantial contributions to other key sectors through Bashundhara Food & Beverage Industries Ltd., impacting industries such as toiletries, paper, LPG, oil, gas, and food production, thereby strengthening the national economy and enhancing food security.

The group’s commitment to quality and corporate responsibility has been recognized with numerous awards, including “Best Brand” awards for its tissue and LPG products, and in 2023, several of its products received “Superbrands” status.
