Adrian Alexander of New York, born in 1946 in Bucharest, Romania, holds both U.S. and Italian citizenship. He migrated to the United States in 1964 after completing his high school education. Tragically, just six months after settling in, he faced the loss of his father, thrusting him into the role of primary supporter for himself and his mother. Despite these challenges, he pursued higher education, earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from NYU in 1970 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1972.

During his academic tenure, he demonstrated exceptional resilience and dedication, balancing his studies with the responsibilities at home. His early hardships fortified his resolve and significantly shaped his professional ethos and achievements.

Launching his career in 1972, he joined Morgan Stanley & Co., recruited directly from Harvard, where he excelled in investment banking for three years before moving to Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb as VP of Mergers and Acquisitions. His career trajectory then took an international turn when he moved to Milan, Italy, in 1978 to work for Egon Zehnder, a global executive search firm, until 1983.

Upon returning to the U.S., Adrian Alexander of New York embarked on a series of entrepreneurial ventures. In 1980, he acquired Minneapolis Sport, a franchise of struggling sporting goods stores, which he successfully restructured and sold to its franchisees. His strategic acumen was further highlighted in 1987 when he joined Polly Peck International, Plc as Vice President of Acquisitions, notably leading the acquisition of Del Monte Fresh Fruit Company.

From 1991 to 1994, his advisory role helped transform regional corporate stationery into a $2 billion multinational office products distributor. In 1996, he founded the Phoenix Real Estate Fund, acquiring significant property holdings in New York City, which he sold in 1999. Entering the new millennium, he established Technology Seed Capital, a venture capital fund supporting early-stage tech startups.

Between 2004 and 2006, he ventured into digital platforms by partnering with Limores.net, a pioneering online platform for ground transportation that predated Uber and Lyft. He later took over and revitalized an imaging center in Astoria, which he sold in 2014, and 2010, he formed Health Settlement, LLC, a lending firm specializing in personal injury cases.

On the personal side, Adrian Alexander enjoys a fulfilling family life, celebrating significant weddings and family milestones, and engages in chess and poker, which mirrors the strategic and patient approach he applies professionally. Adrian Alexander of New York’s journey from a young immigrant to a successful entrepreneur showcases his resilience, strategic foresight, and dedication to his career and family.
