This is actually not how the Berkel runs (see e.g. http://www.wrij.nl/publish/pages/343/zwembad_almen_voor_na_lr.jpg ). For some reason the river hasn't been updated in a lot of maps (e.g. Google Maps, Bing Maps, Kadaster viewer, etc.)

This note includes comments from anonymous users which should be independently verified.
