Avoiding mapping the grass, would be mapping for the renderer, I think, since, if there's grass, grass should be mapped, even if a Swastika comes up. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer says «Don't deliberately enter data incorrectly for the renderer». If there's grass around runways, mappers should map grass.
Clarification @Mannivu, to only map the runways makes the symbol more pronounced. To map the other regions near the runway is to make the logo less pronounced.
Ok, I link I misunderstood the point of the note. Noi i see what you mean. Yeah, I agree a micro-mapping of the area would "hide" the Swastika.
Closing, lots of grass is here now for the OSM Carto users but it won't matter anyway if the data consumer is pulling runways but not grass.
