Hi,

After performing a detailed analysis of this changeset, I can admit that the geometry was improved, by removing 21 nodes which were extra.

The result: improved map after Maxar - the newest editing source. There is no evidence that the changes damaged the geometry.

Therefore let's show respect to each other because we are a community. We have to start treating others the way that we want to be treated.

For Maxar imagery there's about 25 meters difference between offset 0;0 which matches the new road locations and offset -17;45 which matches the old building locations. Why do you think that 0;0 is a correct offset? If you're sure that it is correct, why don't you move the buildings? Do you think it's an improvement to move roads so they intersect with buildings?

Пожалуйста, не надо писать про "вандальные правки", "плюете открыто в лицо" и подобное в обсуждениях правок. Ясно, что это не приведёт ни к какому положительному результату. Если вы действительно считаете данных участников вандалами, то чего вы хотите добиться разговором с ними? Если же нет, вы могли бы объяснить, что именно не так с их правками, чтобы им было понятно.

А неужели это не видно? Вей улицы перенесли, перетащили на дома. Причем оригинально. Практически каждую отдельную точку по улице Ленина перетащили на стоящие рядом здания. Улица проходящая по домам. Прекрасно смотрится. Как же это называть? А теперь не гипотетически, а практически представим, что подобных правок встречается не один десяток, если не сотен. Это я только за себя говорю. Здесь, кстати, еще одна точно такая же имеется.

Я специально ничего не трогал. Увеличиваем масштаб и наблюдаем в режиме реального времени сделанные "улучшения". Если пользователь не видит или не хочет видеть, при этом указывая на уважение к своему участию в проекте игнорируя иное другое, результат своих действий, то достучаться до него становится проблематично. Визуальное восприятие является (видеозапись, фотоснимок) первостепенным. Даже суд принимает их и отдает приоритет в доказательной базе защиты или обвинения. Мало того, руководитель команды прямо указал, что никаких доказательств я не представил.
Мне хочется задать ряд вопросов.
Почему даже начинающий пользователь, когда видит подобную картинку, соображает, что улица на картинке явно расположена неправильно и никак не может проходить по домам. До внесения изменений все было прекрасно и делалось по bing-у.
На каком основании пользователь решил, что снимки от Maxar это абсолютный эталон и их не надо даже выравнивать. Снимки действительно хорошие. Я сам активно работаю с ними. Одна беда - большие искажения отдельных участков и банальная "подгонка" склеиваемых кусков.

Так сказать практический пример. Открываем участок в редакторе josm. Подключаем треки, подложки. Делаем выравнивание снимков по трекам и смотрим на результат. Этот участок как стрела прямая. Могу и видеозапись на регистратор записать. Проезжал здесь не один раз. А теперь смотрим, что нам предлагает Maxar или Esri. Вот и вся геометрия. И такое сплошь и рядом.
Если еще проще, то я решил сейчас делать следующим образом. Делать скриншот до и после правки в josm. Чтоб доказательство привнесенного вреда было железобетонным. Для этого достаточно запустить ревертер.
Извиняюсь, что слишком эмоционально, но накипело. Это должно когда то прекратиться

Please accept our apologies. It was unintentional and I would like to assure you that we understood the mistake. We will be more considerate in the future. We highly appreciate the work you do for OSM. Our mission is also to improve the OSM and we realise that we are not infallible. From mistakes we learn to be better.

Thank you for acknowledging the fallacy of your actions. The best solution in this case is to roll back this and the edits I mentioned above.
I personally do not have any personal complaints to you or to each individual member of your team. You have set for yourself a very difficult task - improving the available data. This requires experienced mappers, but apparently this is not. This is the main drawback of your work. You also need a practitioner with extensive experience in osm who can objectively evaluate the results of your work and help (suggest) how to fix existing shortcomings. But it turned out what happened.
