flattr buttons are used on the german OSMBlog (http://blog.openstreetmap.de/), a blog with a weekly OSM newsletter. The donations go to the german FOSSGIS e.V., a non-profit association that handles OSM donations in germany. In the first month 16.59 Euro were donated that way.
