local road off South Dream farm, i walked this, and used my gps to improve the old poor map
-
we live on this street and so i know its path
-
the road ends sooner than the map shows (per my walking there). I didn't not compare to property maps on where their lots end and the road bedins
-
I walked this road, uploaded my gps trace, and perhaps by mistake created a new road with nearly same name.....this South Dream Farm road is now mostly correct....certainly better than before
-
I walked this road, and traced my GPS trace....the current road called South Dream Farm Road is so innacurate that I am adding this new one
-
this new trail exposes the Geodetic survey marker, at 619 meters. Whatever the old map shows is visually lower, and also at 611 meters is of course lower. i have walked the area and the Geodetic marker properly shows the top of this hill
-
this National Geodetic survey marker has been here since 1937, at 47 27 34.77115n and 121 57 41.95097 W and 619 meters
-
Added the minor peak called Little Kachess
-
that is just somebody's driveway and it seems overkill to put onto the map
-
fixed my earlier pathway i laid down;
-
used image to make minor adjustment to location of the snotel gauge
-
added this very clear dirt path that seems to be used to resupply a weather gauge; i have hiked this 3 times
-
the common name for this trail is Schmachers and oldtimers will tell you it should be Shoemaker for the family who first live on it.
-
the stream crossing is not a bridge; in Spring its 12 inches underwater
-
hiked there a lot
-
camped there

-

-
compared it to my gps, minor adjustment
-
