Mapper since: October 02, 2012
I have been actively mapping since October 2012 when I was introduced to the world of OpenStreetMap by representatives of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team. HOT was supporting our training during the project Eurosha (European open-source humanitarian aid volunteers) and continues as our technical support. Later in October I was deployed with the project in the Central African Republic. I spent three months in the capital, Bangui, by mapping the town (you can see the results of our work in OSM) and spreading the ideas of free and open-source softwares (OSM, Sahana) among the local authorities, local, national and international NGOs and local communities. Due to deteriorated security situation in December 2012, I had to leave CAR and since January 2013 I continue in the project in Chad.
