IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE MY TAGGING THEN AT LEAST MAKE SURE THAT YOUR TAGGING EXISTS IN THE OSMWIKI!

Anyway, moving on…

Live in Somerset, work worldwide. Spent the last twenty-five years going to sea on survey ships as a hydrographic surveyor and cartographer; mapping the seabed, inspecting pipelines, wellheads and oil platforms, clearing UXO, clearing routes for cable lay, windfarms (they’re not green, y’know!) and generally bouncing ultrasound off of the seabed.

Love maps, map-making and finding all the mistakes on the OS 1:25,000 of Dartmoor by getting bog on my boots whilst exploring.

Happiest when afloat - no news, no phones, no family problems, no politics, no cooking, cleaning or washing-up, no missus bending my ear - and on most ships these days the stewards will even do your dobhi for you! Bliss…
