There are several extensions to the Upper Macatawa Mountain Bike Trail system that have been completed and there will be more forthcoming in the coming year. It seems likely that it will finally connect the bike trail along Byron Road to the trail along 84th Ave.

Once it is dry enough to hike, the tiny dog and I are planning on mapping it out.

Walked the grass trails on the west side of the park today with the little dog. I think the lower part of the path is a little bit out of alignment, I will probably re-walk that to fix it.

Added a couple of the little overlooks above Noordeloos Creek as well. There are a lot of paths in this park that I haven’t walked yet.

Today they are cutting a new loop for the Upper Macatawa Natural Area’s Mountain Bike Trail. I’m planning on walking it with my dog tomorrow and have it uploaded tomorrow evening. I have all of the current walking trails for that park completed.

I’ve begun mapping the Macatawa Greenspace park on the grounds of the old Holland Country Club. I’ll be honest, I really like the park a whole lot more than the golf course - I used to work there and I didn’t feel good about all of the chemicals and fertilizers they were dumping on the grass, which of course wound up washing into the river.

My dog and I are having a lot of fun walking the local trails and mapping them.
