Good one - I had something similar, but more specifically geared towards the Pushover notification platform for Android / iOS phones: https://ifttt.com/myrecipes/personal/1634033

I was testing the service but having to pay for the application is a limit for some. This option is simple and straightforward :)

No, but I have a template for the local community here in Cochabamba, Bolivia:

  • 1st paragraph, a brief and warm welcome to the local community

  • 2nd paragraph, a brief explanation in simple words what is OpenStreetMap? denote concepts of sharing and open data

  • 3rd paragraph, a brief invitation to be part of the local community, where and when they meet up and contact information (wikipage, website, mailing list, twitter, google+, facebook, etc)

  • 4th paragraph (optional), a brief explanation of how to correct the offset of the satellite aerial imagery with iD editor and others
