Hi Fab3052,
Can I suggest tags (used at other local pit sites) so you can add this detail detail yourself?
disused=yes
headframe=no
man_made=mineshaft
name=Killingworth Colliery Shaft
Can I suggest the above tagging is more specific than the 'historic=monument' you recently added?
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:historic%3Dmonument
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:man_made%3Dmineshaft
I'd also suggest you check the location, as it looks 50m too bar west in a ploughed field, rather than a landscaped park with a winding wheel next to the car park, and a stone standing monument on made-up ground.
Happy mapping!
Hi, the stone marks the actual mine entrance which is about 50 metres from the car park on landscaped ground slightly west of the path.
Hi, you are correct.
