Hi,
The rail company were working on those crossings a few years ago when I passed by. An amendment was made to the definitive map adding Tunstead FP 5 on 03-2015.
I have written to NCC asking what class of traffic is allowed across the railway, (public and/or private) and how any crossing traffic is accommodated.
Hi, a very quick but brief reply from NCC.
"Thank you for your enquiry.
I would advise that the railway crossing at Church Lane is for the public to use on foot only. For private rights you would need to make enquiries with Network Rail, they will also be able to advise you as to the facilities available e.g. telephone, gates etc to accommodate the crossing of the railway line."
So a survey is needed to determine what structures have been erected.
Surveyed this today. It's a standard user operated level crossing with yellow telephone and suitable for vehicles. It has a warning sign for long vehicles. There is a pedestrian gate but no sign indicating a right of way.
