Looks so, according to http://ch.geoview.info/peer_mika_hannes_gumpe,72520434w (provided they didn't get the info from OSM, of course).
See bottom of page: "This site based on the informations provided by openstreetmap.org, from Le Fou on 2010-08-15T08:55:28Z. ". "Le Fou" is the creator of the lake. So no authoritative source.
Good point. I have found it in more pages, but with the same tautological problem :(
Its the Wikipedia circle of fail: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Relationship_between_Wikipedia_and_the_press.svg .
English: in other maps is not marked this lake, and can not be seen even from the satellite.
I am not familar (yet) with the copyright issues regarding this issues, but on the official swiss maps on geo.admin.ch there is no such lake. "Cascata da Sgióf" might be the right thing, but not sure.
CC-BY-SA 2.0.
English: : in the site https://geolocation.ws/v/I/5555784579604227617-5555789756269453410/im-versascatal/en , He has named this lake and there are also some photos, but at the bottom it says: Data Copyright OpenStreetMap Contributors, Some Rights Reserved. CC-BY-SA 2.0.
English: in august I have been in the place of the pictures (approximately). That picture is the River Verzasca itself. The feature in the map has to be something else.
Is "gumpe" Swiss German for "gesprungen"? I'm beginning to be suspicious that the name of the feature is something along the lines of "here jumped peer, mika and hannes" :/
--------

i deleted the name because it was probably a joke. the editor that added it has stopped editing 10 years ago so he probably won't mind
